Summer Term Learning

The Year 3 Summer Term curriculum allows the children to become meteorologists, understanding the weather around us!

Children will then travel back in time in History to learn about the ancient civilisation of the Vikings.

In Design and Technology, children will develop their life skills learning a range of cooking techniques. This is certainly something the whole family can practise and enjoy together at home!

Children will continue to develop their holistic understanding of their own and other religions by studying Christian stories and Weddings.

In Science, children will continue to light and shadows as well as forces and the impact they have on objects.

Topics covered in English will help children to consolidate all the writing skills they have been practising in Year 3, writing a range of fiction and non- fiction texts including: balanced arguments, fairy tales, play scripts and descriptive settings.

Learning in maths will focus on revising and deepening children’s understanding of number, geometry, measure and statistics.

We will upload work so pupils can learn the concepts mentioned above.
