2022's World Music Day

On Tuesday 21st June, WEPA celebrated World Music Day. Many children came to school in costumes inspired by their favourite musicians or music in general and took part in class activities such as choosing their favourite class song. Many also entered two musical competitions- a whole school musical instrument making competition and a song writing competition for KS2 children. There were some amazing and creative entries! Year 2 and 6 also got to enjoy special global singing assemblies where they sang or danced pieces of music from around the world. The whole of year 2 dancing a huge New Zealand haka was a particular highlight! Overall, it was really great to see our children showcase the musical soul of WEPA.
