On Thursday 10th November 2022, Wood End Park Academy held the first Inclusive Boccia festival for the Park Federation. 

It was lovely to see all the children with different abilities playing Boccia. 

Boccia is a new age sport, played with different coloured small balls. You have to try and aim to roll the ball into different targets. This can also be adapted with ramps and other equipment to suit needs. Certain games had slightly different objectives, with the balls having to go into different zones and targets.

All the academies that attended said they extremely enjoyed the experience and the children received medals for their amazing determination and skills.
