QPR EFL cup

WEPA were one of two schools proudly invited to represent the borough of Hillingdon at today's West London EFL Cup hosted by Queens Park rangers F.C.

The boys were extremely excited to be going to the venue which was within sight of Loftus road, the stadium home to Queens Park Rangers F.C. The eventual winners of the tournament will go on to represent QPR FC and the rest of west london at a all London final in due course.

The event was well organised with 15 schools attending, all of whom were invited solely based on merit. This meant the team had a very tough job on their hands getting through the group stage as we were contending against the very best of the best!

Overall the boys competed well, with the highlight being a very well taken goal from our regular goalkeeper Cameron when he swapped the gloves for a midfield position in our final fixture.

The boys were disappointed in not making the final stages but overall had a very enjoyable day and gained some valuable experience.
