British Values

At Wood End Park Academy, we are committed to developing responsible, respectful and active citizens through the teaching of Fundamental British Values: democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. These values are taught explicitly through our PSHE curriculum and assemblies, where pupils explore current issues, rights, responsibilities and respectful relationships. Children experience democracy through pupil voice activities, leadership opportunities and voting processes that allow them to contribute to school life. Our fair, consistent behaviour systems help pupils understand the importance of rules, consequences and personal responsibility, reflecting the rule of law. Staff model kindness, respect, inclusion and tolerance in their daily interactions, helping pupils develop positive relationships and appreciation for diversity. Through every aspect of school life, we prepare pupils to thrive in modern Britain and make a positive contribution to their communities.
