This year, we are taking part in Votes for Schools. This is a National scheme that provides weekly resources for teachers in the UK to prompt discussion on a challenging current issue. Students vote and comment and we ensure that their voices are heard and have an impact.
Be Informed. Be Curious. Be Heard.
This weeks topic...
Are we accepting of different ways of life? (Primary 7-11)
Should we all have to live in the same type of home? (Primary 5-7)
How it works
Teachers deliver lessons on the weekly VoteTopic inspiring classroom debate.
At the end of the session, pupils will log their vote and this will be logged on the website by the teacher.
Schools are sent the VoteData, broken down into age and gender, alongside information detailing areas of the curriculum covered.
