Keeping children safe in education

Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) is the statutory guidance that all schools in England must follow to help keep children safe. It sets out how schools protect pupils from harm, respond to safeguarding concerns, promote children's welfare, and ensure staff are trained to recognise and report risks such as abuse, neglect, exploitation, bullying, and online harm. KCSIE helps schools create a safe, supportive environment where every child can learn, thrive, and achieve their potential.
